| The South Pasadena Fire Department is a member of an 12 city cooperative agreement known as Unified Response. This agreement allows fire resources to be shared on an as needed basis. When one of the 12 cities experiences a major incident, units will respond from surrounding jurisdictions to assist with the incident or to aid other areas of the affected city until the emergency is under control. The South Pasadena Fire Department has also established a mutual aid agreement with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. In addition, the fire department will occasionally assist on large scale incidents that occur within the State of California. |
