Parking permit banner

All parking permits can be obtained at the
Police Department, 1422 Mission Street.

Overnight:

  • No permit shall be issued for any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of five thousand pounds, unladen, or ninety-six inches in width (City Ordinance Section 19.69)

  • No permit shall be issued for any oversized vehicles: a height in excess of eight feet, a length in excess of twenty-five feet, or a width in excess of eight feet (City Ordinance Section 19.57-1)

An all-night permit:

  • Is valid only between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Must be displayed on lower left side of driver's side windshield to be valid

  • Must not cover vehicle identification number

  • Is only valid for vehicle for which it was purchased

  • An all-night permit does not exempt holder from other City Ordinances (such as, but not limited to, 72-hour parking restrictions) or Vehicle Codes Annual Permit

  • Each household is entitled to one permit per year without a site inspection

  • Multiple permits at an address - must have a site inspection to verify that off street parking is not available

  • Is valid for 12 months from date of purchase

Permit fee: $100 per year per vehicle or $55 per year per vehicle for senior citizen (65 years and older)

Monthly Permit: Each household may only purchase one monthly permit per month, at a maximum of 3 months (in any increment - 1, 2, or 3 month permit) for 12 consecutive month period. Permit fee: $25 per month

Daily Permit: Permits may be purchased in 1, 2, and 3 day increments, for a maximum of 3 days purchased at one time. Permit fee: $2 per day per vehicle

 

Preferential District Parking

Permits are issued at no cost. Permits are valid for the calendar year ending December 31st.

  • Residents (each household) may receive 3 permits. The permit does not exempt holder from other City Ordinances (such as, but not limited to, overnight parking restrictions) or Vehicle Codes.

  • Mission-Meridian Preferential Parking District: Permit is valid only in 3-hour time zone areas, and allows permit holder to park beyond the 3-hour limit. Permits must be displayed from the rear view mirror to be valid. Residents (each household) in Mission-Meridian Preferential Parking District may receive 3 permits. Business owners may receive the number of permits as they have employees on their business license - two part-time employees equals one full-time employee.

  • Ramona, Oak, and Diamond/Oxley General Restrictions: Permits are valid only in specific Residential Preferential Parking District. Permits must be displayed from rear view mirror or on the driver's side rear bumper to be valid. Permits are issued at no cost. Residents are entitled to three permits. Permits are valid for the calendar year ending December 31st.

  • Ramona: Ramona Preferential Parking District permits are valid only on Ramona Avenue between Oak Street and Rollin Street. Exempts holder from the following parking restrictions: No parking on Saturday and Sunday. 1-hour parking on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  • Oak: Oak Preferential Parking District permits are valid only on Oak Street between Fremont Avenue and Ramona Avenue. Exempts holder from parking restrictions: No parking on Saturday and Sunday. 1-hour parking on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
