Cycle South Pasadena |
On August 17, 2011, the South Pasadena City Council approved an update to the City’s Bicycle Master Plan. Utilizing the existing bicycle plan, the updated plan recommends programs and infrastructure improvements that upon implantation will lead to the development of a safe, inviting, and viable mobility choice for bicycle riders at all levels while reinforcing the small town atmosphere commonly associated with South Pasadena.

| SR – 710 Scoping Process Ends |
The California Department of Transportation District 7 (Caltrans) along with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has completed its scoping outreach process to determine what should be studied in an anticipated Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to improve mobility in the area generally between the terminus of the SR-710 near Valley Boulevard and the northern San Gabriel Valley in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) |
The City of South Pasadena responded to the scoping process by preparing a letter that has been signed by the entire City Council and presented to Caltrans. The City’s emphasis is on removing the surface freeway from further consideration and the development of a multi-modal alternative that will improve regional mobility.
