A special “Comics Artists” panel for teens is scheduled in the Library Community Room on Thursday, October 22, from 4-6 p.m.
The artists include Tone Rodriguez, Chris Moreno, Tony Fleecs, and Mark Dos Santos. They have worked for such companies as Image Comics, Boom! Studios, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Bongo Comics, and IDW. The artists will discuss their experiences, their art, the process of creating, and the nature of the comics business. After the discussion, they will provide hands on guidance on creating your own comic character. Materials will be provided for the hands-on portion of the program. They will also take any questions and give out free comics from Bongo Comics and Boom! Studios.
This free event is sponsored by the South Pasadena Public Library and the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library. Refreshments will be available. No registration in advance is required for teens attending.
The Library Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street. Doors will open at 3:45 p.m. |
