A free concert by the acclaimed LA Clarinet Choir will be showcased on Saturday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room. The event for all ages is presented by the South Pasadena Public Library, the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, and the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena as part of the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce’s Eclectic Music Festival. The Library Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street. No tickets or reservations are necessary. Refreshments will be provided.
Founded in 2005 by its conductor Margaret Thornhill, the Los Angeles Clarinet Choir has in a short time become one of North America’s premier clarinet ensembles. LACC is an adult ensemble of 14 seasoned performers on clarinets of various sizes. The group is committed to performing new original music and arrangements.
On May 1st, a wide variety of music performances will be taking place throughout the day in South Pasadena. The newly-formed South Pasadena Arts Council will also be conducting an ArtWalk that day too.
