RECYCLING: All trash collected in South Pasadena is processed for the removal of recyclable materials. The processing station is called a Material Recovery Facility, or MuRF. The process involves the recovery of recyclable materials first through a series of sorting and separating machines and then by hand along a convenyor belt system.
