Fond Memories of Belle:
Belle, our gentle and playful Golden Retriever was an integral part of our decision to plant roots here in South Pasadena. We cherished living in a friendly, walkable environment where we could take long walks along tree-lined streets and visit local shops, including the pet store where we found her. Belle was truly a South Pasadena dog, from puppyhood at Pet's Delight on Mission, to many errands to the post office on Fremont and our bank on Fair Oaks, all the way to her passing at TLC on Huntington a short 10 years later. We met most of our neighbors on those walks, and when we made the decision to build our house here, we considered Belle every step of the way. She passed away two years ago, prior to the birth of our first child, Thomas Koji. We still miss her as we stroll around the city with Thomas, but we are glad we can honor her by dedicating this beautiful Magnolia Grandiflora to her memory. |
