Dave was both a former coach, and then president of the South Pasadena Little League.  In 1976, in the latter capacity, he was instrumental in the merging of what were then the two separate leagues in the city – American, and National.  Much loved and respected by all who knew him, it was fitting that in 2009, on the opening day of the Little League season, a field at the Little League Park was named in his honor.

The tree was donated by his good friends, who were also team managers and coaches during the 70’s. Mary Ellen Jones, Lou and Jim Howorth, Laura and John Reeves, Fran and Don Stewart, Graetchn and Lecho Torres, Margaret and Ken Whitehead and Petrie and Hugh Wilson.
