City of South Pasadena, California - Tree Dedication for Aiden Woodward

In Honor of Aiden Woodward March 2001

Eight year old Aiden and his year long struggle with cancer will be remembered by the planting of six "Dedication Trees." Aiden's first choice, the Jacaranda, was planted in front of his house on Short Way.	Friends, Jefferson Astle (l) and Aric Attebery (r) pose in the shade of the tree with purple flowers (Jacaranda) that Aiden liked.

A community of friends and neighbors contributed funds to plant a small forest of trees in South Pasadena to honor young Aiden Woodward. A jacaranda tree has been planted in front of Aiden's home on Short Way. Two Carrotwood trees and a Sweet Bay tree were planted at Arroyo Vista School on El Centro Street and Cawston Avenue. One 36-inch Box Oak tree and one 24-inch Box Redwood tree grace the east side of the playground area at Garfield Park.
